## The builder loop

HIM Arena's current challenge is table tennis: use HIM's released data, build with your existing tools, and publish a comparable result. The Robot Grant is a separate, broader program for promising sports-robotics policies, simulators, datasets, and tools.

1. Build a policy, a simulator, or both together with any stack.
2. Use your own data, or download the Rokoko motion and Orbbec RGB-D table-tennis sessions HIM collected.
3. Use your own compute, launch a HIM SSH machine, or email team@himrobotics.com to request compute credits.
4. Choose the robot, then upload the project ZIP and the MP4 it produced to publish a shareable page where others can download and try the code.

> **A path to the real G1:** HIM reviews promising work across robot skills, simulators, and frameworks. Selected builders can receive compute and support, then enter compatibility and safety review for a supervised run on Adam, HIM's Unitree G1. Simulation success never guarantees hardware access.

> **Ask HIM for support:** Email team@himrobotics.com to request compute credits, ask about available datasets, or get Robot Grant program information.

## Simple first. Advanced when you need it.

*Choose the smallest workflow that gets the job done.*

| Goal | Start here | Advanced workflow |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Get training data | See release status and download available files from Datasets | Register a versioned private dataset with the CLI |
| Get compute | Launch an SSH machine | Run a guided job with controlled inputs and outputs |
| Share your work | Choose a challenge and drop one project ZIP on Build | Create a validated .him package for CI and reproducible execution |
| Compare performance | Explore community sims and shared work | Submit an immutable policy to one exact versioned benchmark |

> **.him is an advanced builder workflow:** You do not need .him to download data, launch an SSH machine, or share a browser upload. Use .him when you need repeatable guided jobs, immutable package versions, CI, exact artifacts, evaluator integration, or controlled scoring.

## Start building

- [Download the data](/datasets) — See HIM's real table-tennis capture and builder datasets.
- [Launch an SSH machine](/compute) — Choose CPU or GPU and connect with your public key.
- [Upload your work](/build#upload) — Share a policy, simulator, or both together in one ZIP.
- [Advanced builder workflows](/docs/him-package) — Use .him, guided jobs, the CLI, APIs, and agents.
